Abstracts sent by mail, fax or e-mail will NOT be accepted.
Authors, whose abstracts were accepted for an oral presentation, only need to prepare the presentation. They do not need to prepare a poster.
Abstract regulations
With the submission of an abstract to the Joint Annual Meeting of Immunology of the Austrian and German Societies (ÖGAI, DGfI), the presenting author:
   
Your abstract will only be accepted if your early registration fee has been received by the congress secretariat before June 15, 2008.
90% of your registration fee will be refunded if your abstract is not accepted and after you have informed by e-mail the congress secretariat (oegai2008@medacad.org) at the latest two weeks after having received the notification (exact date will be found in notification letter) that you do not wish to participate anymore. After this date the regular cancellation policy (see Registration) will be implemented.
confirms that all authors are aware of and agree to the content of the abstract and support the data presented;
accepts to be the contact person for all correspondence about the abstract and inform co-authors about its status;
warrants that the data and conclusions presented in the abstract have not been published prior to the date of the Joint Annual Meeting of Immunology of the Austrian and German Societies (ÖGAI, DGfI) conference. Abstracts containing previously published material will be rejected;
states that for studies involving human or animal subjects, permission has been obtained from the relevant regulatory authority, and properly informed consent give where appropriate;
accepts responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted abstract;
acknowledges that once the abstract is submitted, changes, corrections or rewording are possible until deadline of abstract submission (June 15, 2008)
confirms that a "Release by author form" will be completed and returned to the congress office immediately after receipt of the acceptance of the abstract.
Careful typing and proof-reading are essential as the abstract will appear, if accepted, as submitted.
Acceptance and selection of abstracts

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee in June 2008, and authors will be notified by email. Because the abstract submission was extended until June 15, please note that all authors will be notified by mid of July. Abstract selection: Some accepted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation; some will be presented as posters.

Abstract format
The abstract must be submitted in good English.
The text must not exceed 250 words, excluding title and authors.
A maximum of two institutions per author is allowed.
No more than 10 authors can be listed.
No tables, no graphs or illustrations are allowed.
No literature must be cited.
