Security measures

We would like to inform you, that because of the security measures in place, all participants are invited to deposit an identity card or passport at the security check of the parliament. Any luggage or briefcase will be checked with an X-ray device.

Please foresee additional time for these security measures at your arrival and take according precautions regarding your luggage.

 

Travelling - Location

Arriving by Train / Metro (cfr. Attached Brussels Underground Map)
The venue is located 500 meters from the metro station Arts-Loi on metro line 2 and line 6. The price of a single ticket is 1.70 € (discounts are available for 5- and 10-rides ticket). Metros normally run every 6 minutes.

From the Central Railway Station (Gare Centrale / Centraalstation):
Take metro line 1 direction Stockel or line 5 direction Hermann-Debroux. Get off 2 stops later at Arts-Loi / Kunst-Wet.

From Brussels South Railway Station (Gare du Midi / Zuidstation): take metro Line 2 or Line 6, direction Simonis (Elisabeth), and get off 6 stops later at Arts-Loi. (± 15 min.). Thalys and Eurostar arrive at Brussels South railway station.

From Arts-Loi metro station (± 7 min. Walk): exit from portal bd du Regent/rue de la Loi. Take rue de la Loi / wetstraat and walk to rue Ducale / Hertogsstraat. Turn left and walk to rue de la Presse.
Turn left and walk to rue de Louvain.

Arriving by car
If you come by car, enter Brussels on the highway E40 and follow the signs for Centre/Centrum, Institutions Européennes/Europese Instellingen.
You will pass through the Reyers tunnel. You will exit on the Avenue de Cortenberg / Kortenberglaan.
Go straight until the end of the street, going through the Schuman roundpoint, towards the rue de la Loi / wetstraat crossroad.
Turn right at Hertogsstraat – Rue Ducale. Turn left at Leuvenseweg –rue de Louvain.

Please note that parking is very difficult, and that you may have to use a paying parking. Cars parked illegally are regularly ticketed and removed.

 

Arriving by air
From Brussels airport international /Zaventem (major Brussels airport):

By train
: when you exit past customs, go diagonally right and take the escalators/elevators to the lower level and then the train to the Central or South railway station (Gare Centrale / Centraal station or Gare du Midi / Zuid station). (± 2.80 € - 20 minutes). From the central or south railway station, you may take the metro (cf. Above)

By bus
: take the airport line bus 12 to the gare de Luxembourg/Luxemburg station. (± 3.00€) the Luxembourg Station is the 5th and last stop. From there you may walk to the Venue by crossing Place de Luxembourg, walking down rue de Luxembourg, crossing Square de Meeûs until the Trone Metro Station. From there you can take the metro Line 2 or Line 6, direction Simonis (Elisabeth), and get off 6 stops later at Arts-Loi. From the Station Arts-Loi, cfr. Above.
(total: ±30 minutes).

From Brussels South Charleroi airport (not recommended): take the coach service (±10.50 €) from the airport to Brussels south (Gare du Midi / Zuidstation), then follow indications above. (±1 hour 15 minutes).
