In April 2002, the 20-year anniversary of the first successful culture of Helicobacter pylori was celebrated. This microorganism causes gastritis,
which is one of the most common infections in the world. Shortly after the first reports about the bacterium in the Lancet in 1983, the European Helicobacter Pylori Study Group (EHPSG) was established. In 2001, this association was renamed the European Helicobacter Study Group (EHSG) to signify that there are more Helicobacter species than just pylori.

Sweden has been honoured with the stimulating and challenging task of arranging the 16th International Workshop of the European Helicobacter Study Group. It will take place in Stockholm, September 3-6, 2003.  The venue for this meeting will be Stockholm International Fairs.

The purpose of this letter is to enquire if your company is willing to support the meeting with educational grants or other forms of sponsorship, to make it possible for us to invite and to cover costs for travel and lodging for the most prominent lecturers and chairpersons for our main sessions.

We plan for massive participation not only from EU countries but also from Eastern Europe, North America and Asia – parts of the world from which participation has increased markedly during the past few years.
Needless to say, participation of large numbers of interested GPs, clinicians and researchers from all over the world will create wonderful business opportunities for your company.

Sponsoring Options

1. Educational grants or other support for invited speakers and chairpersons
We hope to be supported with € 5 000 – 10 000 from each company or subsidary. Grant or support that will cover costs for travel and lodging, can also be directed to a specific speaker or chairperson of the company’s choice. A preliminary list of speakers and chairperson will be published on the website, where also grants and support will be announced. Your support will also be published in the program, and in connection with the inauguration ceremony. We also invite you to suggest speakers and chairperson to be included in the program.

2. Integrated symposia or workshops
The inauguration ceremony will start Wednesday September 3, at 17:00 (5 p.m.) followed by a buffet dinner by invitation from the City and County Council of Stockholm. Registration to the congress will take part all afternoon on Wednesday at the venue for the congress.

Companies can choose between the following options for lecture rooms and time.
If you would like to arrange a symposium all through Tuesday or Wednesday, please contact us for suggestions and offer.

Included in the room for 90 person is 1 overhead projector, 1 slide projector, 2 microphones and 1 flip chart.
In the room for 200 persons 1 overhead projector, 1 slide projector, 2 microphones and 1 laser pointer is included.
Your meeting’s program will be published in the Final Conference Program, under the condition that agreement has been settled in good time before publishing.

3. Conference bag
Cost for sponsoring is € 7 000, plus costs for production of the bag. The conference bag must be approved by the organizing committee. Sponsoring company may print the logo of the company on the outside of the bag. Name tag shall be included.

4. Inserts
Inserts in the conference bag will be accepted at a price of € 2 000 per item. Maximum format A 4 and weight 100 gram per item. Inserts must be approved by the organizing committee.

5. Addresses to invited speakers and delegates
Labels can be bought at a price of € 2 000 per set and may be used on one occasion only.

6. Advertisements in invitational program and final program
Inside of front or back cover in four colours

7. Advertising Banner on the website

Sponsoring company can participate with three persons at the dinner.

Pharmaceutical and Medical Technical Exhibition

An exhibition of pharmaceutical and medical technical products will take place in close connection to the poster exhibition and very close to the
lecture rooms.

Free entrance card to the Helicobacter Workshop
All companies who have ordered 9 square meters or more in our exhibition,
or supported us with a sponsorship of a minimum of € 5 000, will receive two free
entrance cards to the Helicobacter Workshop.

Access to our VIP-lounge
Companies who support us with a minimum of € 10 000 (exhibition fee or sponsorship),
will also receive two entrance cards to our VIP lounge, otherwise only open for invited speakers and chairpersons.
