EANO is pleased to announce its Grants & Fellowship
programme for 2010. The
grants and fellowships are offered to European clinicians, researchers,
students, doctors and scientists who are working - at present - in neurology,
neurosurgery, medical oncology, radiology, radiotherapy, neuro-pathology or basis
science. The goal is to broaden the network of Neuro_Oncology and to support
Neuro-Oncologists in their (inter)national research projects.
Our
programme consists of 3 different opportunities: 1.
TRAVEL GRANTS This grant facilitates young clinicians and investigators
to present an abstract or poster during the congress of the EANO held every two
years. The next EANO Conference will take place September 16 - 19, 2010 in
Maastricht, The Netherlands. www.eano.eu/opportunities.aspx
2.
EDUCATIONAL VISIT GRANTS This grant will compensate for costs of
travel and living during a short stay in a brain tumor center or neuro-oncologic
center, clinic or research facility in a foreign country. Typically these visits
have the aim to improve knowledge, set up a collaboration, start a clinical trial,
gain education or exchange facilities. www.eano.eu/opportunities.aspx
3.
FELLOWSHIPS This type of grant is for clinical or research projects
with the aim to improve treatment for research in neuro-oncology and brain tumor
patients. Typically these projects last 6 to 12 months, and have to be performed
in an institution (clinic or laboratory) with the aim to set up a prolonged collaboration
between different laboratories, clinics or centres. www.eano.eu/opportunities.aspx
More
details about the EANO Grants & Fellowship Programme can be obtained from
the EANO website: www.eano.eu
Applications
will be evaluated by a reviewing body consisting of 7 EANO (Executive Board) members.
This committee will decide the amount of the grant.
Applications must
be received not later than April 30, 2010.

regards, The
