Congress Venue Grazer Congress / Convention Center Graz, Sparkassenplatz, A – 8010 Graz www.grazercongress.at Travel Information To reach the city center from the airport “Graz-Feldkirchen” you can take the bus (Verkehrsverbund). The tariff for a single ride is Euro 1,70.-. For detailed information on the time schedule please have a look at www.flughafen-graz.at Weather Conditions The average temperature in Graz in May / June is approximatively 20°C. Passports and Visa Passport-Holder from countries in Western Europe as well as from North America and Australia will not need a visa to enter Austria. For some countries you will have to contact the Austrian Embassy in your country for detailed information. If needed, an official invitation letter can be requested from the Congress Office for visa purposes. Please note that in various countries the procedure for visa application can take up to 6 months. Therefore an early application is recommended. Cash Dispensers A great number of cash machines accepting bank cards as well as most credit cards are located outside of bank buildings throughout Graz. They are identifiable by a green-blue sign. Bank The „Steiermärkische Sparkasse“ located in front of the main entrance of the congress center is opened from Monday to Friday from 09.00 – 16.00. Shops Shops in Graz are usually open from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 - 18.00, Saturdays from 9.00 - 17.00. They are closed on Sunday. Most shops accept all major credit- and "Maestro" cards. Eating out in Graz Most restaurants in Graz are open from 11.30 - 14.30 and 17.30 - 24.00. However, most of them stop serving warm meals at 22.00. Please note that service charges are included in the price, unless explicitly mentioned. Nevertheless an additional tip in between 5-10% of the bill is expected, if you deem the service good enough. Some restaurants may have a cover charge. Electricity Supply 220-240 V - 50Hz AC. Insurance In registering for the CEOC 2005 Graz participants agree that neither the organising committee nor the congress office assume any liability whatsoever. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements in respect of health and travel. Taxis Numerous Taxi stands are located throughout Graz, in front of the “Grazer Congress / Convention Center Graz” as well as of most hotels. The receptionists will be glad to help you.
